Gina's Operation Santa
in partnership with Art of Giving Foundation
Gina’s Operation Santa was originally created to coordinate participation in the Chicago Sun-Times Letter to Santa Program. Through a Chicago Public School or a local nonprofit agency, kids write letters to Santa, asking for their dream gift. Many of these children come from low-income households and the gift received through this program is often the only gift they will receive. Gina began this program over 20 years ago by responding to just 2 letters. Along with a team of elves, Gina’s Operation Santa has grown every year and is now in collaboration with the Art of Giving Foundation. By combining the missions of both Gina and AOG, Gina’s Operation Santa also provides art supplies to every student receiving a holiday gift, ensuring art and creativity remain a staple in the homes of our youth.
How to participate:
- Click on BECOME A SPONSOR or email Gina (including # children and age requests)
- Receive an email with your child(s) gift request
- Shop your gift along with warm weather accessories (expect to spend $75 per child)
- Wrap your gift and deliver it to one of four locations by DECEMBER 4TH
- Look out for photos from the holiday party, which will be posted on Facebook!
Your Donation Matters!
This year we are thrilled to support 471 Pre-K thru 3rd grade students at Sandoval Elementary School! Each child will receive a “wish item”, jacket, hat and gloves. Plus, by combing the missions of both Gina’s Operation Santa and AOG, Gina’s Operation Santa also provides art supplies to every student receiving a holiday gift, ensuring art and creativity remain a staple in the homes of our youth.
Your donation ensures that children receive gifts and art supplies this holiday season!
