RESERVE ENOUGH TIME TO DROP OFF YOUR WORK, PARK IN THE FREE LOT 5 MINUTES AWAY, AND RETURN TO THE VENUE TO SET UP BY 3:30PM.

ARRIVAL/SETUP TIME:

3:30 PM

ONCE YOU ARRIVE YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO LEAVE UNTIL THE EVENT IS OVER UNLESS ITS AN EMERGENCY.  PHOTOS WILL BE TAKEN PRIOR TO THE EVENT SO IT’S IMPORTANT YOU DO NOT LEAVE THE PREMISES.

GUESTS: $150 DINNER TICKET (SIT NEXT TO THE ARTIST)

ONLY ONE GUEST PER ARTIST AT THIS RATE. ARTISTS ARE ALLOWED TO INVITE ADDITIONAL GUESTS AT THE $300 RATE HOWEVER THOSE GUESTS WILL SIT ON THE MAIN DINING ROOM FLOOR.

EVENT DESCRIPTION:

Art of Giving Foundation is hosting our 5th Annual Black Tie Gala on October 12th,
at The Stan Mansion in Chicago, IL. We invite our friends and supporters to come
and celebrate our 5th year giving back and all of those that have participated throughout the year.

Enjoy a one-hour cocktail reception before entering the main dining hall for a seated dinner. We have an open bar, live music by SEMPLE band, live entertainers, a silent auction, raffle items and so much more for you to indulge in throughout the evening! Come dressed to impress in your finest tuxedos and gowns.

As always, we will have professional photographers and videographers on site to capture the moment and all of our beautiful attendees.

ARTIST RESPONSIBILITIES:

ARTISTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ARRIVING ON TIME AND PROVIDING THE PROPER LIGHTING AND EASELS TO DISPLAY THEIR WORK.  LIGHTING FOR THIS SHOW IS PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT BECAUSE THE VENUE IS INHERENTLY DARK.  THE OVERHEAD LIGHTS IN THE VENUE CAN GIVE OFF A YELLOW HEUGH SO WHITE LIGHT ON YOUR WORK IS ESSENTIAL FOR COLOR CORRECTNESS.

ARTISTS ARE REQUIRED TO BE AT THE VENUE FROM 3:30PM-11 PM BUT ARE WELCOME TO STAY UNTIL 12AM TO HELP CLEAN UP.  HOWEVER, ART MUST BE REMOVED NO LATER THAN MIDNIGHT.

ARTISTS ARE REQUIRED TO SHOWCASE 3 WORKS OF ART. EACH PIECE SHOULD BE ACCOMPANIED BY A TITLE CARD THAT STATES THE NAME OF THE ARTIST, TITLE OF THE PIECE, MEDIUM, DIMENSIONS AND PRICE.

ARTISTS ARE ALLOWED TO BRING BUSINESS CARDS AND HAVE A SMALL QR CODE POSTED NEAR THEIR WORK. NO FLYERS, POSTERS OR OTHER MARKETING MATERIAL IS ALLOWED.

ARTISTS SHOULD REMAIN NEAR THEIR WORK SO THAT INTERESTED BUYERS CAN INQUIRE.  IT IS NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF ART OF GIVING FOUNDATION TO SELL YOUR WORK, IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ARTIST.  SHOULD A BUYER WANT TO FINALIZE A SALE, ART OF GIVING FOUNDATION WILL BE THE ONLY PARTY ALLOWED TO TAKE PAYMENT, NOT THE ARTIST AND NOT THE ARTIST’S MANAGER.

ONCE ART IS SOLD, THE ARTIST IS TO DIRECT THE BUYER TO THE WRAPPING STATION TO HAVE THEIR WORK PROPERLY WRAPPED AND SECURED FOR PICKUP.  ALL ART PURCHASES MUST BE PICKED UP ON OCTOBER 12TH, 2024 BEFORE 11PM.

ARTISTS SHOULD PROMOTE THE EVENT ON THEIR SOCIAL MEDIA NETWORKS AND INVITE GUESTS TO ATTEND THE EVENT.

 

ART OF GIVING FOUNDATION (AOG) RESPONSIBILITIES: 

AOG WILL ENSURE THE VENUE IS READY FOR GUESTS NO LATER THAN 5:45PM.  AOG WILL PROVIDE STAFF FOR CHECKIN AND TO HELP ASSIST THE ARTISTS WITH SETUP. IT IS AOG’S FINAL SAY AS TO WHERE ART IS DISPLAYED IN THE VENUE.

AOG WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR TAKING PAYMENT FOR ALL ART SOLD AND PAYING THE ARTIST WITHIN 5 BUSINESS DAYS OF THE SALE.  ARTISTS RECEIVE 65% OF THE PROFIT FROM THE SALE OF THEIR WORK, AND AOG RECEIVES 35% COMMISSION FOR THE SALE. THIS COMMISSION GOES DIRECTLY TO AOG’S MURAL INSTALLATION FUND FOR CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

AOG WILL MARKET THE EVENT ON SOCIAL MEDIA, THE AOG WEBSITE AS WELL AS IN OTHER PUBLICATIONS SUCH AS MAGAZINES AND ON TELEVISION, ETC. AOG WILL PROVIDE EACH ARTIST WITH THEIR OWN FLYER TO PROMOTE THE EVENT.

Artist Agreement

I HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT ENTIRELY AND AGREE TO ITS TERMS. I UNDERSTAND THAT IF THIS AGREEMENT IS NOT UPHELD, AOG WILL TERMINATE MY INVOLVEMENT WITH SAID EVENT AND POTENTIALLY FUTURE EVENTS.
